Bustle Guide
If your dress has a train, I definitely recommend having a bustle added. A bustle allows you to dance, and move around with ease. No dress will have a bustle prior to alterations since bustles are specific to your height, and your shoe height.
American Bustle
This bustle is the quickest and easiest. It comes together by connecting hooks and eyes, or buttons and chainstitch loops. This picks up the train on the outside of the dress.
This bustle is perfect for dresses made of fabric such as tulle, crepe, & satin. This bustle is the most visible but can create a gorgeous and effortless look.
French Bustle
This bustle is elegant and timeless. It comes together by tying color coded strings to pick up the train underneath the skirt
This bustle is perfect for dresses made of fabric such as mikado, crepe, & satin. This bustle can be a little tricky to tie, but I'll give you all the pointers.
Ballroom Bustle
This bustle maintains the look of your dress the most. It comes together by connecting snaps that are either color coded or of varying sizes. The snaps flip the train underneath the dress to create a crisp hem line.
This bustle is perfect for dresses made of fabric such as mikado, crepe, & satin. This bustle can be a little time consuming based on the number of snaps, but it's worth it.
